Description

The dataset covers data on 30 political talk shows on the German public-service TV channels
ARD, ZDF and Phoenix in the period from 10 December 2013 to 30 April 2014. The dataset
was compiled by the author with the goal to map the discursive framing on the so-called “Ukraine crisis” as a discourse network. The initial dataset was transformed into a network dataset with guests, TV shows and discourse frames as “nodes” and relations between guests and shows and guests and their discourse frames as “edges”. The dataset is saved in an excel file which contains 13 columns and 251 rows. The documentation pdf explains the motivation for data collection, the data as well as the coding rules for the discourse frames.
