Description
The dataset contains standardized information on labor protest events coded from daily news reports. Sources of information are internet versions of newspapers (federal and regional), news agencies and portals (federal and local), websites of trade unions, parties, public organizations, etc. The selected reports are coded in accordance with a specifically developed coding scheme and entered in a quantitative database (SPSS file). The SPSS file contains the original Russian codes. An English translation is included in the file "Documentation-MLP Russia" which is part of this data collection.
In this version the dataset has been updated to 31 December 2022 and an English translation of the coding scheme has been added. Publications discussing and using the dataset have been listed.
